Trump and the working’s of a Billionaire mind

There is a seemingly common lie peddled among gurus, business teachers and life coaches.

Mindset is everything

Well, it turns out it’s not such a lie.

Let me give you a prime example.

Donald J Trump.

Man is a billionaire alright, but he became a billionaire despite all his terrible business decisions.

Let me explain better.

Donald Trump got a head start from his father Fred Trump who was a real estate investor too.

He inherited about $413 million from his father.

Over the course of the years, he grew that fortune to about $2.5 billion. That’s the official net worth from Forbes for 2023.

Now, that’s a pretty neat story right?

Not so.

Had Trump invested the money he got from his dad into the S&P 500, he would be worth about $3.6 billion today.

So Trump, in spite of all his mistakes is still a billionaire.

He has had several tax evasion issues, declared about 6 business bankruptcies, but he has been on Forbes 400 for 25 years.

I’ve read his books and watched him speak several times, and I can tell you for a fact, Trump can’t be worth $999million.

It can’t just happen. He can make any type of mistake and still crawl back to the 4 comma club.

Any Trump supporter reading this now could bow in worship to this adulation I ascribe to him.

Feel free to do so on your own time.

But this is not about Trump, it is about you.

No matter how much you want to dislike it, Mindset is everything, and you should joke with it at your own peril.

Trump is a billionaire today because of his mindset, and of course the large stash his dad left him.

But you don’t have any inheritance and you don’t also want to get your mindset in the right place.

Shame
